London Calling is David London, based in Sydney Australia.
David now brings his work online for you to explore and use on your next project.
Primarily industry trained, my roles include producing, directing, camera operating, editing and also behind the microphone as a voice over artist.
40 continuous years hands on experience working in many facets of the film/video industry, with a core focus on the marketing and promotional sectors including countless TV commercials. I have produced and directed documentaries covering environmental & community focused subjects such as coastal protection & rejuvenation, disabled access in the community, health & peer group pressure in teenagers.
The corporate productions I have produced and directed vary in purpose from promotional – educational – awareness – training and motivational. Having an extensive production and post production knowledge in both film and videotape, my productions are produced on either format or a combination of the two depending on budget, shooting conditions and the end result requirements.
Over the last 20 years, the main focus of my work has been in the Australian rural and agricultural sector in both video and still photography. During this time I have built up a wide and varied collection of still images, which are now available on this site.
In December 2008 through January 2009, I was part of an eight person expedition team sent to Mawson’s Huts at Cape Denison on the Antarctic continent, on behalf of the Mawson’s Huts Foundation. The purpose of this expedition (the eighth since 1997) was to continue conservation and restoration work on the historic huts built by the 18 man 1911-14 Australasian Antarctic Expedition led by Sir Douglas Mawson. My role on the 2008/2009 expedition was to document the on going works programme on both video and stills.
